SERVICES
Premium Horse Care Package
Horses are individuals. Horse owners know what each of their individual horses love. Some love belly scratches, some quiet time in their stall mid-afternoon, others love an evening graze as the hot sun goes down and others prefer fresh buckets of water at their pleasure, morning and evening. Premium Horse Care caters my day to your horses. We build this package together, with the intention that my full day is designed with the specific individual personalities of your horses in mind. Your horses know you. With this package, they will feel you there, as I provide the TLC you do, while you are thriving in other parts of your life.
Please book a consultation to enquire about co-creating your horse care package and about additional services available in your stable and at your home.
*The overall cost of each package depends on the number of horses and the location of your stable or farm. An additional administration fee will be shared before finalizing your service request. If you require house and pet sitting during your sojourn, please inquire so we can coordinate this option.
QUALIFICATIONS
Career Educator
Communication, organization, and creative solutions guided my career as a teacher, coach and team leader. Fearless in the face of challenge, I honed my ability to ask meaningful questions, listen deeply and build relationships. I worked tirelessly for my students, their parents and my colleagues expecting only quality and commitment from myself while modeling it to motivate others. The reward of learning success drove me to discover the individual skills and nuances of every student. All of this I bring to my Equine clients - owners and horses alike!

Instructional Leader Certification
With education and learning at the center of my career, Instructional Leadership compliments my many skills as I use it to discover my client's needs, interests, and preferences. At Harvard, I learned how to engage more deeply with relevant problems and address challenges which present themselves while at the same time understanding the context and practice in order to anticipate potential responses, reactions, and reversals in behavior. The combined assertiveness and intuition modeled in Instructional Leadership support my relationship with horses and people.

Two programs: Seven Days to a Better Partnership with Your Horse and Build Trust and Confidence with Horses as well as Lindsey’s Partridge’s Mini-courses have been tremendous additions to my horse background. Throughout these programs, I have rediscovered the calm connection I have with horses along with a myriad of approaches and techniques to ensure horses in my care build a relationship with me which enables me to support their needs and them to feel relaxed and at ease in my presence.

Equine Assisted Learning Certification
Currently, I am studying EAL and will be pursuing this certification with a completion date sometime in 2025. EAL builds skills in leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making through interactions with horses. Handling and working with horses is at the core of this certification. The unique non-verbal communication that occurs between a horse and a human is at the center of this method and thus is an important approach in my horse care.

MY STORY
Kimberley Acres
I have cared for horses since age 7, from the day my Dad bought me a retired thoroughbred and she arrived at our farm. The philosophy I grew up with was that if I wanted a horse to love, then I must also love the work one requires. This mantra has informed my life with horses. I love tending to animals and horses have a special place in my heart and life. The philosophy of loving the work they require revisited me in the form of a gift when I purchased my farm and bought two horses (for my daughters, so I believed!). Ownership put me at the center of the demand for daily horse care.
Early mornings in the stable, ensuring quality feed & hay, diligence with indoor & outdoor habits & hazards, consistent routines, administration of medication, balancing vet & farrier bills, conditioning tack and much more. Fortunately, equine husbandry is second nature to me. I notice slight changes in a horse’s gait or whinny or manure droppings. I can walk in a field and observe the quality of the pasture. I know how to mend fences and latch gates. I thrive in the outdoors in all weather. I thrive using my strong organizational skills and multitasking ability. I love the smell of a horse and the swing of their heads. Farm & horse ownership gives me the edge and intuition to provide professional horse care.
What sets me apart from ‘pet sitters’ you might find on a paid site?
People for whom I have provided care, have answered this question multiple times. I have owned, operated, and managed my own horse farm and as such, I understand the nuances of horse care, habits, and routines. I take it personally! As well, this is my job. I am not rushing to a meeting after I turn your horse out, nor am I arriving to feeding time late because a meeting went over. I care for horses with your routines, your requests, and your HORSES in mind… entirely! Just ask any one of my references!
